Welcome to our Firm’s web site. We invite you to spend some time in the site getting to know
a little bit about our Firm and the attorney, John Young.
John’s philosophy in the practice
of law is focused on providing quality legal representation
for every client—the kind of representation that he would
want if he or one of his family members were accused by the
government. John
brings the benefit of his
extensive trial experience to each case, using that which he
has learned in other cases to help new clients.
John believes a criminal defense
lawyer must work harder and smarter to insure that every fact or piece of evidence beneficial to a
client is available for use before the jury.
John frequently associates experts in various fields to
help in presenting expert testimony on particular issues
beneficial to the client before a jury and recently used an
expert to generate a computer animation in a murder to help
the jury understand his client’s defensive story.
For this law firm, it is important to use every
available resource beneficial to the client.
John believes in the “system”,
but understands that the system is only as good and honest and
fair as those that control it.
Oftentimes, the most difficult part of the case is
simply getting a level playing field to begin the trial.
John’s experience, extensive resources and common
sense approach to the defense of the citizen accused provides
each client with an opportunity to obtain a fair and level
playing field.
John’s mission is to
fight the fight that others, for whatever reason, cannot fight
for themselves and to insure that every client— whether
hired or appointed by a court—receives the zealous, hard
fought defense that they deserve.

JOHN’S
PHILOSOPHY ON THE ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP AND THE
JOB OF A CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYER….
“It
is my job to vigorously defend my clients, presenting the best
possible case to a jury. I try to view each case from
the perspective I would want a lawyer to see the case if I
were the accused.
“It
is not my job to "be friends" with the prosecutors,
police officers or special agents for the government.
Nor is it my job to be friends with any court.
It is my job to protect my clients.
“While
I believe a zealous advocate can and should be professional,
respectful and even friendly with these folks, and while I am
pleased to call many my friends, at the end of the day, it is
my job to take care of him who has entrusted his life and
liberty to me and my law firm.”
